Certification for a new category of persons
Criteria and certification process are the same as in the case when a person first applies for certification.
Certification for a new management system in an existing category
If a person is already certified in one category for one management system and wants to be certified in the same category for another (new) management system, it is necessary to go through a certification process that is identical to the process for initial certification.
In these cases, the precondition related to experience in audit is reduced by 25% compared to precondition that applies to persons who have not been certified in the mentioned category. Appropriate additional training related to the category of persons for which the person applied for certification and conducted by training organizations approved by StandCert is recognized as an adequate precondition for training in these cases.
If a certified person wants to move from the category of internal auditor-trainee to the category of internal auditor, or from the category of auditor-trainee to the category of auditor, it is necessary to submit evidence of completed audits as required for the new category of persons. StandCert will evaluate the submitted evidence and if it is assessed as adequate, a new certificate will be issued. The validity period of the certification on the new certificate is identical to the validity period of the certification on the previously issued certificate.
In all other cases of transfer of persons from one category to another, the certification process is identical to the initial certification process.
